How did your classes differ from those you have taken at CSULB?
Program Testimonials
•   3 business courses at HEC (International competitiveness, competing with China, and Business ethics and marketing). 3 French courses (French in songs, French for beginners, and Intermediate French: Structuration and Production). Most classes were styled around lectures. The level of difficulty were pretty similar to CSULB. What I liked about the international competitiveness course was that the professor required each student to bring news and current events to class each day and present them. The class involved a lot of worldly issues that weren’t necessarily talked about in CSULB courses. Also, the French in Songs course was very helpful in learning the language through songs.

What was your housing like and how much did it cost you per month? How easy was it to arrange?
Program Testimonials
•   I lived in Préloz in Lausanne. It’s about 4 stops by bus to the city center. I lived with my uncle, aunt, and cousin. My housing was excellent since I was living with family and our place was near everything.

What were your experiences with the language? Did you feel you had enough language preparation?
Program Testimonials
•   My writing skills were well-prepared, but it was a bit difficult at first to get used to how fast everybody spoke. As the week went by, my French improved greatly thanks to the immersion in the culture. 201B level is great, but you will definitely learn more quickly once you are living here
