Course: FEA 318/ENGL 318: Theory of Fiction and Film (upper-division capstone, category C, Interdisciplinary)

Approximate Travel Cost: $2,750 (includes accommodations plus breakfast, 2 dinners, and Hamburg transportation pass) + airfare

Course Description: This course examines artistic and narrative conventions of fiction and film, breaking down the discursive methods of storytelling for each medium in terms of both content and craft, and surveying theoretical and practical approaches in the history of fiction and film. Throughout this course we explore narrative as a force that iterates throughout our lives in a manner that reflects and transcends cultural bounds.
