About the Universities of Baden-Württemberg

The Universities of Baden-Württemberg program is associated with the State of Baden-Württemberg, which is in southwest Germany and is home to world-renowned universities. The CSU IP program is coordinated by CSU on-site staff and the Office of International Relations at the University of Tübingen. Students from every major are encouraged to participate, as a wide variety of educational opportunities are offered.

All students participate in a Preparatory Language Program (PLP) before the fall semester begins. PLP courses offer instruction in German grammar, reading, writing and conversation and often include cultural excursions. The location of the PLP is dependent upon the student’s academic year placement. Most PLP programs are four weeks in length. After the PLP, students move to their university placement.

CSU IP participants have the opportunity to study at one of many universities across the State of Baden-Württemberg. Students select their top three universities when completing the CSU IP application and are matched with the choice that best suits their needs by the Residential Director in Germany. For more information about the 25 universities you can choose from and the courses available at each, see the CSU International Programs website.
